Austria has many traditional celebrations, where people play music, sing, dance, enjoy food, drinks and a good company! Men are typically dressed in "lederhosen" (leather trousers) and women wear "dirndls" (nice colorful dresses). Celebrations include for example Almabtrieb at the end of september, when we're celebrating the homecoming of cattle from alpine summer grazing pastures to the valley. Another good one is Octoberfest, which takes place from end of September till mid October. Let us know when you are coming and we'll arrange a visit to one of the local celebrations! Please be careful with the drinks!
